Dress Shopping

Why is it so hard for me to find a dress? All I need is a casual, slightly sexy dress for a work event. I just spent around 3 hours at the mall hunting for something and I found nothing. I spend less time than that looking for a prom dress back in high school gee whiz! If it was appropriate I would just wear one of those! Also, how fun would it be to have formal events to go to as adults! I want to go to a ball or a black tie wedding soon.... Maybe I should start looking for a fabulous event like that!
