Wonderific Wednesday

Last Wednesday was a great day. I am so glad the weather was beautiful so far this summer the storms have ruined a lot of plans -- but the sun was shining all day.

The girls and I went down to the farm to see Meems. I meant to take more pictures but someone, who shall remain unnamed, but she's around six years old....Didn't want to cooperate much. Such is life.

Yesterday I found the perfect vacation spot for Prince C and I. I can't freaking wait! The resort is called Now Jade Riviera Cancun. Click the link, be jealous.

On Friday my galpal H brought me some peonies to work. We have really enjoyed having them
on the counter here at home.

Fancy Dinner

Last night Prince C and I went on a nice date. No turkey, no baby, just us. It was really nice.

It was my first ever dinner at Ruth's Chris. Wow. Now I understand why my husband claims it to be his favorite restuarant. They left nothing undone.

Drawn butter over a candle so it stays melted and a lemon with cheese cloth around it so no seeds end up in your seafood....
Lobster. Alive until you order it. Cracked and pulled from the shell.
A chop salad. Delicious.
Dinner. Crab Cakes for me...no filler all crab. New York Strip for Prince C. Perfect.
Dessert. Bread Pudding, Cheesecake, and French Pressed Coffee.

What a night. What a special date for Prince C and I. I loved every minute.

Things I must do: Crafts

So.... Any of you who know me at all know that I love reading blogs. And that I love home decor, even though I can't seem to make my house look like much of anything at all.... Here are a few ideas I feel like I must do.

1. Button Art: I don't have any heirloom buttons that are family owned but I am sure I can find some at all the lovely Antique Stores here in the Bluegrass.
2. DIY Chevron Rug: I want to make this to go in the girls room when we move them in together.... And then maybe when we move to our forever home we can put it in the kitchen. I want mine in Navy or Black or maybe Tan...but not the caramely orange color in the blog.

Ok, so I am only coming across 2 things that I really want to do craft-wise right now, but I promise there are more.
