Little Fishies!

Prince C and I are so blessed with 2 little fishies. Ella and Nora both love the water. Nora has a hard time waiting long enough to get her swimsuit and swim diaper on before she runs to the water and Ella is a pro at all the swimming stuff. Here are some pictures of Nora from her fun time in the big kid pool.

Last time

Prince C just said it. "This is the last time you'll be pregnant". It's quite sad when it's said that way. No, I don't want any more babies after Baby Noodle comes. Not today anyway. But, what it I change my mind? What if we win the lottery (well, we'd have to play) or both get great jobs and could afford more babies?

This is the last time I'll be pregnant. Sounds so final. I love being pregnant. Yes, I complain. Sure. It's uncomfortable. There's gas, indigestion, hip pain, I haven't been sleeping well, I am moody, etc, etc, etc. BUT. Feeling a baby move inside you is amazing. Imagining for 10 months (or longer, because most people dream of their children for years and years) what your son or daughter is going to look like, act like, grow up to be is magical.

I love him already. I already miss being pregnant. I love being a mother. It is such an amazing gift.

Onizim's

Tonight Prince C and I went to Onizim's here in Lexington. Casual Cajun food....Casual must mean "not spicy enough".

Here's my quick review of what we ate:

Deep Fried Banana Peppers = 7 out of 10. Perfectly fried, just tangy enough, served with cocktail sauce. I would have made sure to use Bookbinders cocktail sauce. It's the best. Has a ton of horseradish in it. It would've been great with these.

Enabelle's Salad with Spicy Bleu Cheese (house made dressing) = eh. 3 of 10. The salad was room temp and so was the dressing. Strange. There was no "spicy" about the spicy bleu cheese. Also, the salad consisted of field greens, 2 grape tomatoes, deep fried onion chips, and 2 half purple onion rings.

Chicken Gumbo = 9 of 10. I only had one tiny taste since I try to avoid meat with feet...but it was great. Well seasoned, tons of flavor, great.

Linguine Primavera = 7 of 10. Tasty, but nothing special. Stated it had a Jalapeno Basil Pesto which is what drew me in...I didn't taste that yumminess at all. Mushrooms seemed to be sprinkled in too too sparingly.

Side - Bourbon Mashed Sweet Potatoes = 9 of 10. Super delish. Could've used a bit more sweetness...but overall, quite good.

Blackened Catfish and Jambalaya = 2 of 10. Prince C ate it....but it was miserable. No salt, no spice, pretty to look at but it ended there. Sad.

Side - Jambalaya Potatoes = 9 of 10. Great!

This place has the side dishes down. Soups too. I recommend it...but not overwhelmingly. It was good, not great. Edible, not mouthwatering.

Kid Free for 4 days

What are we going to do with our time??

Humph. Well, since we are dead broke we will do the same things as normal -- just more quietly.
Last night we went to the grocery store, rented red box, got some ice cream, and ate dinner on the couch. We rented Little Fockers. It was funny and uncomfortable and funny. Overall, I recommend it. Prince C saw a commercial for a wild berry parfait from Wendy's so we got one of those too. It was very tasty -- and very tiny. It was baby sized.

Tonight, we have another Red Box movie to watch and we'll have some sort of dinner at home. I really need to work on cleaning the house since we leave for vacation in 6 days! Maybe I should start packing too....

We were thinking maybe we could squeeze in a movie AT THE THEATRE!! But, we'll see.

I'll keep you posted on our wild lives.
